3 Monthly Update
Welcome to the latest update!
I am always nervous before he calls, worrying he might think I am waffling on but now its over I am feeling reassured even though he also said I have a least a decade before complete failure, I want more time 😂. He has a way of explaining things and today I felt heard.
One week before the call I will get my bloods. Here are the concerning results this time around:
Gfr 27
Calcium 2.64 mmol/l
Epo 7.6 iu/l
Calcium I was told is nothing to worry about so I will keep taking the active D.
Until my haemoglobin dips to 100 I will gain no benefit from epo injections, at least I have a number to focus on.
Grf... well it's rubbish isnt it?! But I am told it is going down slowly and as I said previously I have about a decade, which always makes 10 years sound longer, until I potentially reach full failure!
I will be trying a new Bp Med called Ramipril. See my other post about experience with sartans that I have been on. As I said in that post I may end up back on the Sartans, I have learnt not to be too hopeful with new meds. I am clearly sensitive to many of them.
Thank you for reading :)
